General Parts acquires TRESCO Southwest

Minneapolis, MN, January 3, 2011 - General Parts, L.L.C., a leading service provider and parts distributor to the commercial foodservice industry is pleased to announce the acquisition of Tucson Restaurant Equipment Service Company (TRESCO) located in Tucson, AZ.

"The acquisition of TRESCO is an exciting opportunity for us to expand our business into another new market with a highly respected company, and represents another step in our fulfilling our national strategy," said Bruce Hodge, President of General Parts.

Since 1975, TRESCO has been providing quality restaurant equipment service throughout Southern Arizona and complete kitchen installation services throughout the Southwest. The company will operate as General Parts / TRESCO Division, and the management team consisting of General Manager Jeff Markham, Office Manager Stephen Bloomfield and Service Manager Jerry Crosby will remain intact.

The opening of this, our 13th branch is an exciting opportunity for us to provide support for our technicians and customers in Northern Indiana. We have CFESA Master Certified technicians and industry experienced dispatchers on staff to insure that we get off to a strong start in Fort Wayne.

As with all other General Parts locations, the Fort Wayne office will provide a full range of high quality service on cooking, refrigeration and HVAC equipment along with installation of new equipment, planned maintenance programs and parts distribution.
